United Methodist Women
Our UMW group is known as “The Fidelis Circle” and meets every second Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the church parlor. The United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
We are a team, and like the body of Christ, we have our places and purposes, each working on the other to make the whole. As a whole, we are strong, we are educated, we can move mountains, especially with the power of God behind our efforts. All parts are necessary for the whole to work at 100%. Let’s come together and help the whole, utilizing our parts and really showing what a team can do—together. Tracy Conner
The Fidelis Circle provides opportunities for a variety of ways to serve or volunteer and offers membership in The World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women. As members of these two organizations, women strive for an ecumenical and international community through unity of spirit and purpose, understanding the meaning of justice and freedom and a commitment to the Gospel.
United Methodist Men
UMC has been an organization for men for almost 25 years. UMC is a creative, supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually and to seek daily his will. Our primary purpose is to declare the centrality of Christ in the lives of men and in all their relationships. Our group meets on the first Monday at 6:30 p.m. We gather first for dinner at Golden Rule BBQ in Irondale. After an hour of fellowship, we continue our meeting at the church for a program presented by a group member. Through fundraisers, we support worthy community causes. Men of all ages are welcome!
