Irondale United Methodist Youth Fellowship (U.M.Y.F.)
We invite all youth from sixth through twelfth grades to join us on Sunday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for our student ministry. Our ministry strategy is called Accepting Christ Through Service (ACTS). We use a model of servant evangelism, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through proclamation and demonstration. We have a Four Pronged Ministry Strategy:
- Awareness – Developing opportunities to share the Gospel including using a unified call strategy with a marketing campaign and social media to bring about an awareness for the need for Christ in our lives. Other opportunities may include concerts, canvassing, and outreach activities and fun events.
- Care & Prayer – Visiting the sick, the shut-in, and others who need a little extra love and encouragement in their lives. Creating and implementing prayer initiatives for youth ministry, church family, for our community and beyond.
- Teaching – Creating opportunities for spiritual learning through Bible study and worship experiences.
- Service Initiatives – Ministering to those in need through service initiatives including building, repair, clean-up, transportation, shopping, and other projects.
Our group is launching a statewide campaign “I Live Different” for the awareness of the need for Christ in our lives. Learn more about this campaign at www.ilivedifferent.org. Come Join Us!
